Prescott: Goldwater Lake, Lynx Lake, Granite Dells at Watson Lake
Goldwater Lake is pretty little lake in a pine forest with shady trails. At almost 6,000 feet, the air was pleasantly cool here this morning. Quite a few people were out enjoying themselves, but everyone was spread out, so it wasn't crowded. We did a nice 1.7-mile hike around much of the lake.

Tom and Steve, taking a break
After our hike, we stopped for take-out sandwiches from Sprouts and then relaxed at Steve's awhile before heading back out to Lynx Lake in the afternoon. We hiked the very short Stretch Pebble Loop Trail and then drove around to a couple of viewpoints.

Back at the house, Steve made burgers and fries for dinner, then the three of us went to Watson Lake for a closer look at the Granite Dells. Tom and I had visited the lake briefly yesterday, but we wanted to return and scramble around on the rock. Steve knew the best place to go to do so - the boat ramp at Watson Lake Park. We arrived just before sunset, a really gorgeous time of the day. Nice!

Just one more
Later on, I did laundry in preparation for leaving Prescott tomorrow. Then I joined Tom and Steve for the completion of the jigsaw puzzle.
Mission accomplished
