This morning, we left our airbnb in Brunswick and drove back as far as Greenville, about 325 miles. We arrived around 4:00, with enough time for a walk along a different part of the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
We parked at Cleveland Park, near the Greenville Zoo, and walked west toward downtown to just before the Liberty Bridge, meeting up with where we'd strolled on Tuesday. It was a round trip of about 2.5 or 3 miles. Nice scenery, and it was good to stretch our legs a bit after the drive.
After our walk, we drove to Double Stamp Brewery just east of downtown. Excellent! This was the best beer of the entire trip, BY FAR. I would be happy to come back here again and again. Highly recommended.
For dinner, we chose Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant, very close to our hotel. This is a chain, but very well done. The food was excellent and so was the beer. Greenville has a TON of breweries for a town of its size, and we barely scratched the surface. We shall return!
Lodging: Quality Inn at Haywood Mall, same as before.
Tomorrow, we'll drive the last 190 miles home. I'll spare you the uneventful details. It was a fun and relaxing trip!
