Clinton, Tennessee to Luray, Virginia

We drove 400 miles today, mostly on I-81, arriving in Luray, Virginia, around 6:00 p.m. Luray is a little town of 4,900 folks 15 miles east of I-81 and 90 miles west of D.C.

After checking into our hotel, we immediately left again, walking a half mile into Luray's historic downtown to Hawksbill Brewing Company. The place was hopping. It seemed like half the town was there. In fact, I got chatted up at the bar by the chief of police! We had time for a couple of beers each before closing the place down at 8:00. Small-town hours! The Runnin' Red Lights Ale was my favorite.
