Welcome to Tom and Jana's April 2022
Virginia and Maryland Journal!
In the fall of 2020, at the conclusion of our five-day bicycling trip along the C&O Canal Towpath, Tom's cousin Kelly picked us up in Georgetown and brought us to her and her husband Don's home in Bowie, Maryland, to spend a couple of nights before depositing us back in Cumberland, where our bike trip began.
Kelly and Don's daughter Kirsten happened to be visiting her parents that same weekend and had invited some friends over for a small get-together the evening we arrived. Included in the gathering was a fellow named Sean who Kirsten had been introduced to just that morning and had invited over to hang out that night with the rest of the gang.
Little did anyone know that Kirsten and Sean would hit it off so well that a year and a half later, they'd be tying the knot! Having been there on the day the two of them met, of course Tom and I had to return for their nuptials, because obviously WE ARE GOOD LUCK!
Also obviously, since we were driving all the way to Maryland anyway, we might as well take a few extra days and make a lark of it. So off we went on the road again, for a week of fun and family!
