Welcome to Tom and Jana's
Spring 2020 Wyoming Road Trip!

Originally, we'd planned to visit Big Bend National Park in West Texas this spring, in late March/early April, but due to the Covid-19 shutdowns, that didn't happen.

Two months later, tired of hunkering down, we came up with a plan B and decided to hit the road toward some states that were beginning to reopen: Nebraska, South Dakota (never shut down), and Wyoming. We were hopeful that Yellowstone National Park would open by the time we arrived, but we were going west regardless! Just before we left home, the superintendent of Yellowstone announced a partial reopening of the park, to begin a few days before our arrival. Yay!

Tom had been to some of the places we'd be visiting on this trip last year, in his quest to travel to all 50 states, and I (Jana) had visited many of these places with my parents and brothers way back in the '70s and '80s. Together, Tom and I had traveled to Yellowstone and the Tetons in 2002, when we were still young newlyweds. Therefore, we needed less planning for this impromptu trip, but still we made many new discoveries.
